The Team
I'm Duane Furlong
Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, I was sitting in corporate America like most of the executives and professionals I photograph today. I understood the deadlines, the pressure to look put-together for a role you’re not always sure you feel ready for, and the reality that a good photo of yourself is usually the last thing on your to-do list.
What changed things for me was my family. I wanted a career that let me actually be present, home for dinner on weeknights, around on weekends, not tied to someone else’s calendar. Photography had always been something I did on the side, including headshots and portraits for friends and colleagues, and at a certain point the choice became obvious: build a business around the thing I already loved doing, on my own schedule.
But I didn’t want to be a generalist. The photography world is full of people who shoot weddings on Saturday, real estate on Monday, and headshots whenever someone asks. I made the opposite bet: pick one thing and become genuinely excellent at it. For me, that was headshots. Full stop.
To do that right, I trained under Peter Hurley, the photographer most people in this industry consider the gold standard for headshot work and the founder of the Headshot Crew, the largest network of professional headshot photographers in the world. That training reshaped how I think about a session, not just lighting and angles, but how to actually coach someone into an expression that looks like them, not a stiff corporate photo.
Today, I’ve photographed 2,500+ professionals across Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area: executives, entrepreneurs, healthcare providers, attorneys, and teams at companies like American Express, Republic Services, Rula, and Frontdoor. Every session still comes back to the same goal I had when I started: get someone in front of my camera, and get them out an hour later with an image that actually looks like their most confident self.
I'm Becca
Hi, I’m Becca, the primary photographer at Duane Furlong Studios. I trained directly under Duane and under Peter Hurley, the most recognized headshot photographer in the world, and I now lead the majority of sessions in the studio.
I still oversee business development here, but day to day, my focus is behind the camera: guiding clients through every step of the session, coaching expressions, and making sure the image we walk away with actually looks like them.
I care most about building real relationships with clients, starting at the initial consultation and carrying through to delivering headshots they’re genuinely proud of.
Whether that means coaching someone through a first headshot session or making sure a whole team leaves feeling confident, I want the experience to feel personal, not rushed. Trust and personalized service are the whole approach. That’s what I bring to every session, and it’s a big part of why Duane Furlong Studios is the go-to for headshots that actually elevate your brand.
I'm taylor
Hi! I’m Taylor, the Client Experience Director and Marketing/Operations at Duane Furlong Studios.
I recently graduated with my degree in Management from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, and for the past few years, I’ve been growing alongside an incredible team here at DFS.
At the studio, I wear a lot of hats—some cute, some strategic. You might hear from Becca or me while organizing your headshot session, but behind the scenes, I’m also the one optimizing our website, refining our marketing funnels, and keeping operations running smoothly. From automations and email campaigns to budgeting and big-picture planning, I love bringing a mix of creativity and structure to everything we do.
Working under Duane’s leadership has given me the chance to grow not only as a marketer but as a businesswoman. I’m passionate about helping professionals elevate their image, and I’m proud to be part of a brand that blends luxury service with a down-to-earth experience.
